Photovoltaic energy costs money. But it is worth it. According to preconditions a plant can be profitable even from day one. This is due to the excellent effectiveness of the plants and the possibility of feeding the energy won directly into the grid thus benefiting from tax advantages.
Effectiveness
In recent years significant progress has been made in the development of very high-performance plants. Today it is also possible to operate a highly-profitable photovoltaic plant at our degree of latitude.
Government aid
In common with other regenerative energies, photovoltaic plants are economically subsidised. This takes place on the one hand through very favourable interest rates, for example, from the KfW development bank, and on the other hand, by the possibility of feeding the electricity won into the grid at attractive conditions.
Tax relief
Operators of photovoltaic plants are independent energy entrepreneurs. Together with a low level of red tape, there is the possibility of enjoying extensive tax advantages. These include reimbursement of value added tax and depreciation possibilities (procurement costs, operative costs, interest).
